STRICTLY TABOO Retired (DOUGLAS, 2011) Tet, 5 ¼”, Evr, M-Re, 22”, 12 buds, 2 way branching (SEEDLING X (FORTUNE’S DEAREST X LIFTING ME HIGHER)) I evaluated this one for a long time. Bud count is low, but so many people wanted this flower for the color and toothy edge, I had to introduce it. The grape purple is just a stand out in the garden. A watermark and yellow gold toothy edge with fringy ruffles makes a stunning contrast. I have had many keepers out of this flower. “The Dentist”, Tom Polston, just had to have it. Fertile both ways. |
